Norcal Miata TT Challenge Round 2 -Sonoma Raceway

Another weekend of racing is in the books at Sonoma Raceway, and the NorCal Miata TT Challenge grid showed up ready to compete.

Sunday brought fair but fast conditions. Cloud cover kept temperatures stable, with enough ambient heat to keep the track surface warm and the cars happy. It was a strong day for performance — predictable grip, balanced setups, and the opportunity to push.

And the drivers delivered.

Street Class

1st – Patryk Skowronski – 2:01.536

2nd – Eddy Bach – 2:02.721

A tight battle in Street with just over a second separating the top two. Clean execution and consistency proved decisive.

Street Class Winner - Patryk Skowronski – 2:01.536

Super Street Class

1st – Chris Wise – 1:56.391

2nd – Greg Perez – 1:57.590

3rd – Tyler A. Marchesano – 2:02.086

Supper Street Class Winner - Chris Wise – 1:56.391

Super Street continues to show serious depth. Sub-1:57 pace at Sonoma demands commitment and precision, and the margins at the front remain tight.

Super Modified

1st – Ricardo Mayor – 1:48.998

2nd – Abheet Brar – 1:49.218

3rd – Joey Zhu – 1:49.738

Super Modified delivered the headline times of the weekend. Less than eight tenths separated the top three. At this level, every braking zone, every throttle input, and every setup decision matters.

The standard keeps rising.

Lap times are dropping. Gaps are shrinking. Drivers are refining their cars and sharpening their skills each round. The NorCal Miata TT Challenge is evolving into a legitimate proving ground for Miata drivers across Northern California.

The grid is building. The pace is real. And the competition is only getting stronger.

If you’re serious about measuring your pace against the best in the region, this is where it happens.
