The format is similar to our Sonoma Auto-X events you already know and enjoy — but this one runs Wednesday evenings from 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM. (Arrive anytime)

Perfect if you:

  • Want to get some driving done after work

  • Need a mid-week reset with some adrenaline

  • Are itching to drive and can’t wait for the weekend

  • Just want to do some laps and hang out with friends

This isn’t a drift competition, and it’s not full-course drifting. It’s an Auto-X–style layout that allows controlled oversteer in designated areas — focused on car control, rotation, and having fun in a safe environment.

This isn’t a drift event.
And it’s not a traditional autocross either.

Slip Happens is an Auto-X–style course designed to help drivers of all levels explore the limits of grip, manage oversteer, and enjoy controlled rotation in a safe, structured environment — all while having a great time with friends.

Who It’s For

  • First-time drivers looking to build real car control

  • AutoX drivers wanting faster corner exits

  • Track day drivers improving rotation and balance

  • Experienced drivers refining throttle modulation

  • Anyone curious about driving at the limit — safely

All skill levels are welcome.

What It’s Not

  • Not a drift competition

  • Not full-course drifting

  • Not unlimited smoke sessions

  • No full race drift cars

Controlled oversteer is permitted in designated sections, with safety and course flow as the priority.

Slip happens.

For $15 per wheel per month, we will securely store your wheels on-site at Sonoma Raceway. When you’re ready for your next Auto-X, drift, or track day, we can mount and swap your tires (installation service available at an additional cost) and have everything event-ready for you.

No more loading wheels into your car.
No more figuring out transportation.
No more last-minute stress.

Simply arrive on your street tires, swap to your event wheels, and drive home comfortably at the end of the day. Your wheels will be ready and waiting at the event — stored safely with us.

Details:

  • $15 per wheel per month

  • 24–48 hours notice required for wheel pickup/prep

  • Available for Speed SF events at Sonoma Raceway only (at this time)
